Eurofins appoints Head of Quality in commitment to meet the highest standards

Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK has appointed a new Head of Quality, demonstrating its commitment to further positioning the business as the leading quality testing provider in the UK.

Claire Keel joins the business after 17 years in the testing sector. She will lead the existing quality and technical team in ensuring that all services meet the highest standards, and that customers are provided with the best possible service.

With a degree in Medical Science and MSc in Quality Management, Claire’s career started in microbiology, ultimately holding positions as Quality Manager in some of the UK’s other large contract testing laboratories. Claire then moved into a general management role running a multi-site water business before leading the set-up of a new sterile service and endoscopy water testing laboratory.

Eurofins Food and Water Testing UK and Ireland is made up of nine world-class laboratories and is the world leader in food, feed and water testing, offering a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art analytical techniques to support customers' increasingly stringent quality standards.

It employs more than 300 people and has recently invested £1.5 million on a two-storey extension to its laboratory and head office in Wolverhampton and £7m overall in new laboratories and laboratory extensions.

The role will report in to Phil Coles, Eurofins Food and Water UK Managing Director.

Reflecting on her new position, Claire said: “I’m excited to be leading a strong and experienced team of quality and technical personnel. Together we can build on the existing robust system and deliver new and improved testing capabilities to deliver the best quality results to our customers.”
