Requests for International Transport
IATA legislation and customs procedures may lead to delays in the international transport of samples and cause higher costs. Eurofins has considerable experience with international transport and cooperates intensively with diverse international logistics service providers. Samples arrive at our laboratory in the Netherlands from virtually all corners of Europe within 24 hours of collection.
Our logistics staff coordinate the international transport of samples and packaging. They provide clients with the required transport and customs documents, such as a proforma invoice.
We can send appropriate packaging in our Eurofins transport boxes to the sample location. After sampling, you can use these boxes for delivery to the laboratory in the Netherlands, using Eurofins’ accounts at DHL/UPS and TNT for transportation. We will provide you with detailed instructions on how to send the samples.
The use of our self-developed transport boxes and special sample packaging minimises risk of breakage during transport. The insulation and cooling elements in the box also maintain the right temperature during international transport.
Soil Samples from Outside the EU
Eurofins has an exemption for importing soil samples from outside the EU. You can make use of this import licence for a fee. The original documents must be enclosed with the soil sample shipment. For more information, please go to the NVWA website or contact your account manager.
