First of all, we believe in transparent pricing – that’s why we can provide a 3-year service contract so you know how much to budget for year on year.

What is Included?

At Eurofins Food Assurance we support you at every stage through the process, this is crucial to our customer care.

Our prices include:

  • Application Review
  • Pre audit preparation
  • Audit according to the official duration calculator
  • Technical review of report and corrective action close out
  • Upload of report and certificate to the BRCGS directory
  • So when you book your audit with Eurofins Food Assurance, we look after virtually everything for you – allowing you to concentrate on maintaining your compliance to your chosen BRCGS Standard.

A 5* Certification process

Our certification team are fully trained in the standards ensuring you receive an excellent service from first contact right through to receiving your certificate after a successful audit.

Whichever standard is right for your business they all follow the same accredited certification process; we have a team of auditors who take pride in their profession with years of industry experience and specific product category knowledge to match the scope of your operation.

It starts with the application form, gathering specific data to allow us to calculate your official audit duration, provide a quotation and allocate an appropriate auditor. We strive to allocate an auditor according to your location to minimise travel expenses.

To ensure our auditors are fully prepared, we request documentation from you prior to the audit to allow them to create an audit plan.

First Class Customer Service

We’re on a journey to promise every one of our customers’ excellent customer service every single time you contact us. It’s been a tough few years navigating travel restrictions but we’re here to support you and your business for the future.

Where Your Money Goes

So you can see what we deliver, and how we look after our customers. But you might be thinking – okay, but I want to know what I am really paying for? What factors impact the price?

Well – we did say we were transparent...

Accreditation

We are a UKAS accredited certification body. We receive an annual audit against ISO 17065 to ensure we comply with the requirements for product certification. You see we even get audited ourselves.

Maintaining our auditor competence

Becoming and continuing as an approved BRCGS auditor requires ongoing training and assessment. We operate a witness auditor programme where all our auditors are verified for competency. UKAS also independently evaluate our auditors each year. We hold regular calibration sessions to ensure our auditors are all aligned.

Accreditation and maintaining approved auditors equate to roughly 25% of all of our costs.

Certification and Administration

Emma, Milly and Sam are certification experts, dealing with your requirements from application, through audit booking to generation of your certificate.

Our company requires a multifunctional team, with a diverse range of skills and talent across certification, quality assurance and technical knowledge. Around 65% of our costs are labour, and although that's on the high end of the spectrum, for us it’s a protected area of direct cost. We are living wage employers, and each individual at Eurofins Food assurance is an integral part of our ability to succeed, with every role created through necessity, and one where we strive to improve the quality of life for each person in our Eurofins family.

Our Vision

Your partner in trust

Let’s be honest here, what makes for a successful relationship, trust. We want you, our customers, to have trust in our services and in turn your customers can have trust in your products and services.

Our founder Gilles Martin started Eurofins from one laboratory in Nantes 35 years ago. Best known for Food and Water testing, Food assurance is now a global business offering Food safety and social compliance services at a local level.

The Stuff Out of Our Control...

There are of course a multitude of external factors that can influence price, that’s why we have an annual price review. This usually works out around a 5% price increase on our standard prices.

Ultimately we do our best to ensure our relationships with our stakeholders are well looked after. We know there are many certification providers out there. Our goals are to make the certification process as easy as possible for you and deliver a range of services to help make your business a success.
