Accredited water microbiology services
We perform the isolation and enumeration of key microorganisms that indicate system integrity, disinfection efficiency, and contamination risk. Our accredited methods include
- Legionella and Total Viable Counts (TVCs) in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1–3
- Rapid Legionella confirmation by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry
- Total Viable Count testing for endoscope washer-disinfector final rinse waters
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, coliforms, Enterococci, and Clostridium perfringens for drinking and process water
- Sulphate and Nitrite Reducing Bacteria (SRB & NRB) and Pseudomonas species testing for closed heating and chilled systems
