Eurofins, the UK's leading food and environmental group of laboratories, has attained accreditation from UKAS to the International Standard ISO17025:2005 at its microbiology facility located in Hull.

A programme of improvements has been made at the laboratory to bring it in line with Eurofins Group methods and standards for Microbiology, to include the latest generation Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) which enables access to the unparalleled portfolio of test capabilities offered by Eurofins globally.

Eurofins has also committed to the establishment of a new 5000sqft state-of-the-art facility with the securing of premises on the Sutton Fields Industrial Estate. Eurofins Hull will move into the new laboratory in Spring 2015.

David Mitchell, General Manager - North said:

"We are delighted to have made the transition from LabCred to ISO17025 as we are now ready to serve the wider business community in the North of England. The new accreditation presented a great opportunity to harmonise with test methods used across our UK network ensuring a high degree of comparability of test data for all product types and monitoring operations.

Our new facilities will incorporate industry leading LEAN principles to ensure we can continue to offer excellent service through efficient and cost effective procedures."

Customers are able to leverage Eurofins temperature controlled sample collection network and benefit from the latest information technology interfaces, enabling users the choice of how to register samples, customise reporting formats and downloads, real-time out of specification alert notification and trending tools for rapid review of historical data.
