UKAS update | Legionella testing compliance

UKAS has highlighted that some labs are omitting required steps from BS EN ISO 11731:2017, meaning these methods are no longer accredited or compliant with HSG274. Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing UK continues to follow the full standard, ensuring accurate legionella detection and maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

EU news | Mandatory PFAS monitoring in drinking water

New EU rules introduced mandatory PFAS monitoring in drinking water from January 2026. The requirements apply in Northern Ireland, while Great Britain continues to follow UK guidance-led regulation.

Interest survey | West Scotland water sample collection

Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing UK offers UK-wide water sample collection from "drop-off" points. We are exploring the need for locations in west Scotland and would be grateful if you could take a minute to share your views.

Logistics | Weather-related updates

During the winter months, adverse weather conditions can occasionally disrupt our water sample logistics network, including access to some water drop off locations and associated courier routes. We will issue email updates where necessary to keep you informed of any temporary changes and to help you plan sampling accordingly.

Legionella | Eurofins presenting at WMSoc webinar

Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing UK will be sponsoring and presenting at the WMSoc webinar “From Sample to Result: The Complete Laboratory Workflow for Legionella Testing” on Friday 30 January 2026 at 13:00.
