Chlorine in Water Sample Stability Guidance

Contact us

Thinking of sending samples to Eurofins for Chlorine testing? Read through the below first to understand the requirements

Chlorine in water is volatile which means that the concentration in water will decrease over time when exposed to changes in temperature and exposure to sunlight, as a result laboratories offer a shorter stability time for chlorine compared with other testing.

Eurofins is able to offer 24 hours stability time from the point of sampling. To ensure this testing is completed within stability, samples should be taken after 11am Monday to Thursday and should be taken to one of the following drop off locations on the day of sampling.

Where possible its best to drop samples directly to our laboratory in Wolverhampton and contact the laboratory at WolverhamptonChem@ftuki.eurofins.com

  • Birmingham
  • Coventry
  • Derby
  • Leicester
