Scottish Legionella Focus Group Visits our Livingston Laboratory

Recently, Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing UK Ltd. was delighted to welcome members of the Scottish Legionella Focus Group to our Livingston laboratory for an informative day titled “Introduction to Water Testing”.

Over 30 delegates joined the session, gaining an inside look at how water samples are received, processed and analysed within a UKAS-accredited environment. Our technical specialists presented a series of practical topics including

  Laboratory challenges such as seasonal sample fluctuations and common errors in sampling or documentation

• The importance of understanding water matrices and how they influence testing outcomes

• An overview of our Europortal sample management suite and its role in supporting efficient, traceable reporting

• UKAS accreditation and maintaining data integrity

• The growing issue of falsified reports and how to identify them

• Client confidentiality

Attendees also took part in guided lab tours, giving them a first-hand view of our analytical workflows and quality assurance systems in action. Feedback from the day was overwhelmingly positive, with delegates describing the event as “highly informative and insightful.”
