Carbendazim in orange juice - analysis available at Eurofins

Sidebar Image

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are currently blocking imports of orange juice that have tested positive for the fungicide carbendazim (MBC).

It has been reported that low levels of carbendazim have been found in orange juice from Brazil, the world's largest producer. Carbendazim is approved for use in Brazil but it is not approved for use in the US. The Maximum Residue Level (MRL) set for whole oranges in the EU is 0.2mg/kg.

Eurofins' UKAS accredited centre in Wolverhampton offers a fast and reliable carbendazim analysis, helping you to ensure that your products comply with legislation.

You can chose from two package codes depending on your requirements:

  • Code PUD4U - carbendazim - to test to a LOQ of 0.01 mg/kg, fast turnaround
  • Code PSP80 - carbendazim - to test to a LOQ of 0.005 mg/kg, standard turnaround

For further information on these packages and the turnaround times available please contact your Analytical Services Manager or call our sales team on 0845 604 6740.
