Eurofins appoints fresh produce business expert as new General Manager

The former General Manager of British Sugar-owned tomato growers, Cornerways, and Chair of the British Tomato Growers Association has joined Eurofins Food Testing UK & Ireland as General Manager of its Wolverhampton laboratory.

Patrick Harte has more than 10 years’ experience in the food and fresh produce industries having joined British Sugar as a Graduate Trainee. He has experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Development and most recently General Management of the £10m Cornerways business. He was appointed Chair of the BTGA earlier this year.

Reporting into Phil Coles, recently appointed Managing Director of Eurofins Food Testing business in the UK and Ireland, Patrick will be responsible for managing the day to day activity of Eurofins flagship lab in the UK. The Wolverhampton laboratory employs 250 staff and is part of Eurofins global network of 250 laboratories across 39 countries.
