Our analysts observe the whole scene and the chronology of an incident or offence and have built up considerable experience in clothing and weapons identification and comparison. We have qualified imagery experts with special skills in interpreting weapons recorded on imagery.
Clothing worn by people recorded on imagery can be compared with items associated with a variety of incidents. Style, logos, pocket patterns, fasteners and distinguishing marks such as areas of wear or scuffs can be highlighted to facilitate comparisons.
Cap and hat analysis
A cap worn at the scene of an incident, if recovered, can be examined for similarities or differences. Patterns, folds creases and marks all facilitate this process and can provide comparative or discriminatory evidence.
