Last month our Eurofins Food Testing UK's Linlithgow and Eurofins Water Hygiene Testing UK's Livingston laboratories hosted a Chartered Institute of Brewers and Distillers (CIBD) Lunch & Learn event.
The day brought together brewers and distillers for a packed programme focused on key technical challenges and emerging risks across brewing, distilling and no/low alcohol beverages.
The event generated very positive feedback, with strong engagement throughout the day and valuable discussion and networking across all sessions.
A strong technical agenda
The agenda covered a broad range of current and future topics relevant to our customers, including
-
Managing microbiological risks in no/low alcohol beverages, led by Ali Aitchison (Senior Food Safety Consultant at Eurofins Food Testing UK)
-
Wines and spirits authenticity testing, presented by Dr Eric Jamin (Business Unit Manager at Eurofins Analytics France)
-
PFAS (Per‑ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) and their relevance to food and drink, presented by Dr Helena Olsman (Business Unit Manager, Eurofins Sverige Sweden)
-
Contaminant risks in brewing and distilling businesses, presented by Ruben Thomaes (Intercompany Sales Manager at Eurofins Food Feed and Water Testing Benelux)
The sessions prompted insightful questions and discussion, reinforcing Eurofins Food Testing’s role as a trusted technical partner in this sector.
The event concluded with laboratory tours at Eurofins Food Testing's Linlithgow laboratory, giving visitors a behind‑the‑scenes look at our facilities and capabilities.
